SAFE EXCAVATION DIGGING:  The Vactor HXX Prodigy vacuum excavator provides a precise, safe, non-destructive alternative to traditional hydraulic backhoe bucket digging methods. 

1 of 2: This Prodigy unit utilizes a Hydro Excavation Wet Digging system to cut soil with jets of water at pressures ranging from 1,500 to 2,500 psi and flow rates of 0 to 20 gallons per minute.   

2 of 2: Alternatively, for applications where Dry Digging is preferred, this unit also includes the optional 185 cfm / 150 psi Air Excavation Dry Digging system.

This unit eliminates the possibility of costly strikes to underground utilities, enabling you to work around and locate buried utilities with minimal risk and minimal disruption. 

With either method of digging, the Prodigy’s superior vacuum system effectively removes the excavated soil.

Precise Hydro-Excavation system (water) or Dry Excavation system (compressed air). The Prodigy utilizes a hydro-excavation system, blasting away soil with jets that discharge up to 10 gallons of water per minute at rates ranging from 1,500 to 2,500 psi. The variable-pressure triplex pump allows the operator to adjust water pressure with the push of a button.

This unit is equipped with an optional compressed air excavation system. In certain areas, air excavation can be the preferred method of excavation.  The Prodigy, with its air excavation option, allows the operator to meet the job’s requirements with both capabilities.

Superior Vacuum Performance 
The Prodigy features a powerful 16-inch Hg, 3,200 CFM PD blower with a custom-designed and optimized filtration system that can handle both digging mediums—air (185 cfm/150 psi) and water (10 gpm/ 2500 psi)—without a bag house.  The 3,200 CFM blower and a 6-inch hose provide the operators with increased performance when compared to smaller trailer units.
